Change is in the wind...in fact, its a windstorm

It's been a very long time since I posted anything. I guess I owe everyone an explanation (unless you really don't care, in which case I don't really know why you are even trying to read this boring blog).
Well, for those of you who haven't heard yet. I met someone.

His name is Christopher and we met in the Denver airport and he asked me on a date. He took me out to Panda Express and then got me a train ticket to meet his extended family.

We met his family in Glenwood Springs and spent the day at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.

We then met up with a mutual friend and drove back to Spokane.

Okay, maybe he was a friend from Moody that asked me to come on this trip as a first date. It is really great.

Another really exciting trip that we got to go on was a backpacking trip over spring break.

It was officially called "backpacking" but what we did was go rock climbing.

It was a pretty great trip. I decided I like rock climbing a lot.

We have had a lot of exciting adventures together.

Then on May 6th , 2016 he asked me a very important question.

Of course I said "yes"!

We took a quick trip to Oregon to get my wedding dress and work on some wedding planning with my family.

Then we got on a plane and flew to Alaska to be with Christopher's family.

The first thing we did in Alaska was go to the police station to get my background check run.

And no, it was not Christopher's parents being worried about their son's choice of  girls, I had a job starting the next day that involved children so I needed it done.

Helping with the summer reading program at the library. I had lots of fun with these kids every week.

We got to go on a boat.

And go hiking around

And use a Salmon as a stamp to make these really cool shirts.

And got to fly in a little float plane in the mountains around the town we were in.
I got airsick and thew up.

Part of the reason that I planned on going to Alaska was to work at Subway with Christopher. Since by the time we got there we were planning on getting married, it was also a great time to meet his family and get to know them a bit before joining the family.

Alaska!

Just before we left Alaska, Christopher's church threw a wedding shower for us. It was quite lovely.

Then we headed back to Spokane to get married. We arrived back in Spokane Monday, August 8th. The wedding was just five days away.
To be continued....
